In our Advent series The Cast of Christmas we look at “Simeon - a story of patience.” Scripture tells us it was revealed to Simeon that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. Orthodox traditions believe he could have been as old as 350yrs old when he finally saw Jesus. No matter his actual age, waiting for a promise to come to, is often a practice in patience. To not lose hope, to not give up, this is patience. May the story of patience we find in Simeon, encourage us in our daily walk with God!
