"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25
The person who showed you kindness was doing so out of a greater kindness he/she received from his/her Heavenly Father.
Did you know that the Bible is clear about Jesus?
In Him was LIFE, and that LIFE was the light of men. John 1:4
To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. John 1:12-13
Jesus said of Himself, I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the full. -John 10:10
Here’s the Good News.
1. Christ took care of our sin problem at the cross
That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time… -1Corinthians 15:3-6
2. He is currently preparing a new Heaven and new Earth
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” -John 14:1-3
3. And He’s getting people ready for it
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -Ephesians 2:8-10
4. You can know for sure
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal LIFE, and this LIFE is in His Son. He who has the Son has LIFE; he who does not have the Son of God does not have LIFE. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal LIFE. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him. -1John 5:11-15
